After the War, the camera industry of Germany had become to be a leader over the world. The Ernst Leitz started early manufacturing the Leica IIIc which was manufacturing since prewar and also the War period. The Leica IIIf was launched in 1950, which is the final model of so-called Barnack Leica.

Many makers in Japan and the other countries started to make a copy Leica early priod of after the War. The Leica IIIf was one of a target for copy Leica. A number of Leica mount lenses also were manufactured in this period.
